Ecological study of Dholes in the Kanchenjunga Landscape of Eastern Himalayas of Nepal

First ever ecological study of Dholes in Nepal was initiated by AACD in 2010 in the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area of the Eastern Himalayas which later is continued with the effective Dhole conservation approaches in the region and the country.

Background

Since establishment, AACD is dedicated in safeguarding  country's  biodiversity with focus to some endangered wildlife species which are in the verge of extinction. Dholes are one such lesser-known medium sized canids facing a risk of global extinction. Dholes historically existed through most of Asia but are currently confined to only 25% of their historical range, mostly within protected areas across South and Southeast Asia.
